A quick post from me today – I’m really proud to finally share some commercial work I’ve been working on with good friend and Welsh designer Susannah Bulpin over the last month or so, photographing her latest greeting card designs for Christmas 2015. (I hear what you’re saying – it’s still only October, but we all have to start thinking about the big ‘C’ at some point…)
For those working in Newport and Cardiff, it’s more than likely you will have met Susannah and seen her work on display at The Riverfront in Newport, or during her hands on textile workshops for children at Chapter in Cardiff. Her print house, Oh!Susannah is an independent Welsh print design company based in Cardiff. You can buy her designs either in house at these local stockists, or check out her Etsy shop here.
Originally the brand focused on craft and textile work, but her love of pattern and design meant she spread from fabric to a paper, resulting in a range of modern English and Welsh greetings cards. In her latest product range photographed here, Oh!Susannah has created a series of cards that can be utilised in family homes not just in Wales, but by speakers and learners of Cymraeg (Welsh) across the world.
Susannah Bulpin is certainly a designer to watch in South Wales – her work is going from strength to strength, and I’m told is soon to be featured in national publications in the coming months! I’m certain there will only be more exciting opportunities coming her way in the future. Personally, I’m really proud that my photography will help support Susannah further along this journey. That’s all from me – ta ta for now.
