Nests – Charity launch

Category: Commercial

On Friday 8th Arpil 2016, the Newport based charity Nests – a project that aims to provide sleeping pods for rough sleepers in the city – launched their fundraising campaign to build the first prototype of emergency shelters.

Designed to be a temporary shelter, Nests aims to create a safe and secure place for someone who is homeless to stay in, for a night or a number of weeks, while their users work with local delivery partners to access more permanent accommodation. Working in and with the  support of local authorities, service providers and homeless charities to develop the idea, Nests has worked with architects, engineers and other charities to develop a safe, warm shelter for those who sleep rough, with the idea that no one should have to spend even a single night without shelter.
