Ode to Anna / Ode i Anna – Phrame Wales

FINALLY 😆 The moment has come… From 24th April – 19th June 2021 Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre based in Cwmbran will be hosting Phrame Wales’ newest exhibition ‘Ode To Anna’ – a celebration of the legacy of Anna Atkins’ work – one of the first female photographers and champion of the Cyanotype process.

This show includes exhibits that have either been inspired by Atkins’ work or draws attention to her innovation and the themes surrounding her images. ‘Ode to Anna’ not only highlights the lasting impression she has made on the photographic world and it’s history but showcases a range of photographic processes being practiced within South Wales today.⁠

YN OLAF 😆 Mae’r foment wedi dod… Rhwng 24 Ebrill a 19 Mehefin 2021 bydd Canolfan y Celfyddydau Llantarnam Grange yn cynnal arddangosfa fwyaf newydd Phrame Cymru ‘Ode i Anna’ – dathliad o etifeddiaeth gwaith Anna Atkins – un o’r ffotograffwyr benywaidd cyntaf a hyrwyddwr y broses Cyanoteip.

Mae’r sioe hon yn cynnwys arddangosion sydd naill ai wedi’u hysbrydoli gan waith Atkins neu’n tynnu sylw at ei harloesedd a’r themâu sy’n gysylltiedig â’i delweddau. Mae ‘Ode i Anna’ nid yn unig yn tynnu sylw at yr argraff barhaol y mae hi wedi’i gwneud ar y byd ffotograffig a’i hanes ond mae’n arddangos ystod o brosesau ffotograffig sy’n cael eu hymarfer yn Ne Cymru heddiw.⁠
