POSTPONED – Newport Photomarathon 2021

The news that no one wanted to hear… After a weekend of workshops last Saturday and Sunday, the main event of Newport Photomarathon has been had to be postponed and rescheduled until the Spring half term next year. This has been chosen to be Saturday 26th – Sunday 27th February 2022.
Announced by the event organiser this afternoon, Fez Miah said:
“After careful consideration. We believe this to be the best for our community of volunteers and freelancers at this moment in time. Tickets have been moved and refunds offered as well as a chance to reflect encouraged…
‘My tribe’ will be the first topic and is being offered to you all as a unique one to think about and explore over the Christmas break. Adding more concerns and unnecessary stresses for people during this busy season was never the intention and we would like to thank the creatives and all our backers for keeping up support and moral up during these tough times.

About Newport Photomarathon
Newport has a rich photographic history in South Wales. A Photomarathon is a photographic competition with a twist. Typically you have a set period of time to take a set amount of photographs, on specific topics in a set order. With prizes given on the best interpretation of these topics, it’s not your physical ability that will get you through the day, but your sense of creativity and your eye for a good photo!

Y newyddion nad oedd unrhyw un eisiau clywed… Ar ôl penwythnos o weithdai ddydd Sadwrn a dydd Sul diwethaf, bu’n rhaid gohirio ac aildrefnu prif ddigwyddiad Casnewydd Photomarathon tan hanner tymor y Gwanwyn y flwyddyn nesaf. Dewiswyd hwn i fod yn ddydd Sadwrn 26ain – dydd Sul 27ain Chwefror 2022.
Wedi’i gyhoeddi gan drefnydd y digwyddiad y prynhawn yma, dywedodd Fez Miah:
“Ar ôl ystyried yn ofalus. Credwn mai hwn yw’r gorau i’n cymuned o wirfoddolwyr a gweithwyr llawrydd ar hyn o bryd. Mae tocynnau wedi’u symud a chynigiwyd ad-daliadau yn ogystal â chyfle i adlewyrchu anogaeth…
‘Fy llwyth’ fydd y pwnc cyntaf ac mae’n cael ei gynnig i chi i gyd fel un unigryw i feddwl amdano a’i archwilio dros wyliau’r Nadolig. Nid ychwanegu mwy o bryderon a phwysau diangen i bobl yn ystod y tymor prysur hwn oedd y bwriad erioed a hoffem ddiolch i’r bobl greadigol a’n holl gefnogwyr am gadw cefnogaeth a moesol i fyny yn ystod yr amseroedd anodd hyn.ese tough times.

Am Photomarathon Casnewydd
Mae gan Casnewydd hanes ffotograffig cyfoethog yn Ne Cymru. Mae Photomarathon yn gystadleuaeth ffotograffig gyda thro. Yn nodweddiadol mae gennych gyfnod penodol o amser i dynnu swm penodol o ffotograffau, ar bynciau penodol mewn trefn benodol. Gyda gwobrau wedi’u rhoi ar y dehongliad gorau o’r pynciau hyn, nid eich gallu corfforol fydd yn eich arwain trwy’r dydd, ond eich synnwyr o greadigrwydd a’ch llygad am lun da!
