Update – Print sale for Wales Arts Review

Wales Arts Review – Emergency Fundraiser for artists & freelancers impacted by COVID-19

On 27th – 29th March, Wales Arts Review held a digital arts festival to raise emergency funds for artists and freelancers whose income has been impacted by Covid-19. The Digithon saw three days of music, literature, performance and artwork delivered via Wales Arts Review, with the aim to bring people closer together in a time of social distancing.

In total, Wales Arts Review ‘s emergency bursary fundraiser raised £6,450 from members of the public. This was used to create 16 bursaries of £403.13 each for help people whose work had been cancelled or deferred because of COVID-19 emergency measures. This was a significant increase on their original target for 10 bursaries of £300 – well done all involved!

As part of this, I produced this limited edition artwork based on current work in progress. Using watercolour, gold leaf & mixed media (210 x 148mm) these are maquettes of larger photographic patchworks I’m currently developing. Each piece is signed, and part of a limited edition (15 in 5 colours).

Whilst the initial fundraiser has now finished, I have pledged to continue to donate proceeds from the sale of these artworks to Wales Arts Review, to go towards any further support the group offers to others in future in the days of COVID-19, and will do so for as long as they are available to buy.
