Throughout the months of February and March, The Riverfront have invited me to exhibit work from the series ‘Make do and Mend’ in their Mezzanine Gallery, where they will also be inviting members of the public to get involved in the exhibition, sending in images or writing based on the work which will be displayed next to my work upstairs.

Submissions can be dropped off at The Riverfront or emailed to sally-anne.evans@newportlive.co.uk

About Share The Love

Initially launched on St Dwynwen’s Day during the lockdown in early 2021, Share the Love was created as Newport Live and the Riverfront wanted to help everyone stay happy and well, and share love and kindness throughout the Newport area.

The project involved sending out wellbeing packs to support people who were isolated to help them feel more connected, get creative and focus on mental and physical health. The public were also asked to take inspiration from the work of CONSUMERSMITH, ‘May Love Be What You Remember Most,’ which resulted in The Riverfront receiving a range of wonderful artwork and poetry submissions which were displayed in the building’s ground floor windows.

Share the Love is a project that is being run by Newport Live’s Art’s and Community Sport & teams and has been made possible thanks to the donations received from our members and customers as well as funding from Newport City Council.

Am Rhannu’r Cariad

Wedi’i lansio’n wreiddiol ar Ddiwrnod Santes Dwynwen yn ystod y cyfyngiadau symud yn gynnar yn 2021, crëwyd Rhannu’r Cariad gan fod Casnewydd Fyw a Glan yr Afon eisiau helpu pawb i aros yn hapus ac yn iach, a rhannu cariad a charedigrwydd ledled ardal Casnewydd.

Roedd y prosiect yn cynnwys anfon pecynnau llesiant i gefnogi pobl a oedd wedi’u hynysu i’w helpu i deimlo’n fwy cysylltiedig, bod yn greadigol a chanolbwyntio ar iechyd meddwl a chorfforol. Gofynnwyd i’r cyhoedd hefyd gymryd ysbrydoliaeth o waith CONSUMERSMITH, ‘May Love Be What You Remember Most,’ a arweiniodd at Glan yr Afon yn derbyn amrywiaeth o waith celf a barddoniaeth hyfryd a gafodd eu harddangos yn ffenestri llawr gwaelod yr adeilad.

Mae Rhannu’r Cariad yn brosiect sy’n cael ei redeg gan dimau Celf a Chwaraeon Cymunedol Casnewydd Fyw ac sydd wedi bod yn bosibl diolch i’r rhoddion a dderbyniwyd gan ein haelodau a’n cwsmeriaid yn ogystal â chyllid gan Gyngor Dinas Casnewydd.
